Joan Cloutman
Kindermusik and Musikgarten Educator

Joan is the Director of our programs in West Chester and Lionville, and Joan has been a licensed Kindermusik® instructor since 1989. She has a BA from Susquehanna University and has done post-graduate and under graduate music study at West Chester University, including Orff-Schulwerk Level I certification.

Joan has directed children and handbell choirs, has taught private piano and group recorder classes and taught music in the preschool setting before teaching Kindermusik on a full time basis.

In addition to teaching Kindermusik classes, she currently teaches group keyboard classes using the curriculum “ Music Makers at the Keyboard” by Musikgarten. Joan has been bringing music, movement and the love of singing into the lives of children for over 25 years through her church, preschool and Kindermusik career.

Joan and her husband Chuck live in West Chester. Meg, the youngest of their
four children, was in Joan’s first “Kindermusik for the Young Child” class 16
years ago.

Mindy Bowman
Mindy Bowman has been a licensed Kindermusik® instructor since 1994. She holds dual Bachelor of Music degrees from
the University of Delaware in Music Education and
Flute Performance.

Mindy has been teaching in our studio since 2000, but
has been bringing music into the lives of children for over
15 years, through her music instruction in preschools, and through teaching Kindermusik® and private flute instruction
for the Wilmington Music School.

Mindy, her husband Peter and their two children live in West Chester.
