3 years to 4½ years
This independent class encourages your child’s resourcefulness and creativity to learn through pretend play. Using the power of imagination, your child will become an active participant in the learning process. This class blends music, singing, movement, literature, and instrument exploration to enhance the overall learning process. Imagine That! is designed for the now independent, pre-schooler who will come into class alone, but will joyfully anticipate the arrival of a parent, or caregiver, for the final 10 minutes of class time. Class size is limited to 9 children.

Each child new to this program receives a Kindermusik Imagine That! back pack to bring materials back and forth to class. The At Home materials invite the children to continue the fun and learning at home through the use of a Kindermusik slide whistle, a play set, two literature books, a Family Activity Book, and two CDs.

Toys I Make, Trips I Take
What’s more exciting to a 3 or 4-year-old than a new toy? How about an entire Toy Shop full of toys!
Toys I Make, Trips I Take is focused on creating a stimulating musical environment that integrates music, pretend play, story telling movement, and more.

In our spring program the children will use their imagination to sing about a trip on a blue boat and imagine what wonders they may see and sing about from the boat.  We will use our bodies to speed up and slow down like the toy train, and learn to spin like the top, or quietly wait to jump like the jack in the box.

The children will receive a drum, as we work on a steady beat while learning to follow the teacher’s clue as we echo rhythms and tell an imaginative drumming story.  In addition to the two listening CD’s in this package, there will be two story books: “My Big Blue Boat” and the rhyming story “Tippity, Tippity Too”.  The home activity book provides ideas for activities to do at home to expand upon the musical learning of the classroom.  Each child new to this program will receive an Imagine That! back pack for carrying their materials and activities to class.
