Experience Kindermusik at home with your child on a daily basis!
Thank you for choosing Kindermusik for your child’s musical development!
Kindermusik encourages you to be involved with your child’s musical education every step of the way. To see what activities are planned for your child in class in the coming weeks, click on the class name to the left which will take you to each week’s activities and the class schedule for this semester. All of our classes encourage caregivers, or parents, to attend a portion of the class so that you will be involved in your child’s musical activities during the week.
Much of the information contained in the class activity pages refers to your Home Activity Book included in your Kindermusik Curricula, or in you Home Activity cards for Kindermusik for the Young Child. This website resource is available to you if you have misplaced your child’s typed page given out in class, or if you want to see what was covered during a class that you missed.
Below are class studio policies that will be helpful to you when you are enrolled in our studio programs in either West Chester, Lionville, Kennett Square or Oxford.
- Illness and missed classes:
If you are away or if your child is not feeling well, we encourage you to rest at home and make up your class at another time during the semester. You are welcome to come to another class of your child’s age group at any time during the 15-week semester. If you cannot attend a class of your child's age group, please consider attending a regularly scheduled class in the next age group up. (i. e. a Village aged child, come to an Our Time class, or an Our Time aged child consider visiting Imagine That!)
You do not need to contact the director when making up a class, just inform the teacher of the class you are visiting that you are there to make up a class. Always refer to the current class schedule listed under “”News and Updates” from the home page here on the website to make sure that the class you would like to attend is at the correct time. There are no refunds for missed classes.
- Younger Children:
Siblings under 12 mos. of age, are welcome to sit in on an Our Time class for no additional charge. If the second child is between 12 and 18 months of age she may join the class for an additional cost, since that child would be a participating member of the class. Younger siblings are always welcome to join class for the final ten minutes of an Imagine That! class or a Kindermusik for the Young Child class.
- Concurrent classes:
We offer classes for older children (Imagine That! and Young Child) at the same time that we offer Our Time classes for younger children with a parent attending. Class times are staggered at the start to allow for the adult and younger sibling to re-join the older child’s class for sharing time in the final 10 minutes. These classes are designed for older children with more focused activities than those offered in a Family Time class.
• Class size:
Kindermusik limits class size at all levels. There is a limit of 8 children in an Imagine That! class and 12 families in the other classes. See how small classes make a difference in your child’s participation and in your total experience in a music class in which your child is the focus.
• Payment Schedule,
Refund Policy:
$10 of the total class fee is an administrative fee and is not refundable. Remainder of class fee is refundable if notification of cancellation is given to the director prior to September 1, 2008.
- It is important to us that you, and your child, are satisfied with your Kindermusik experience! Please feel free to talk you’re your Kindermusik educator if you have concerns about your child or the class itself.
